Hello!
I didn't get a chance to make a post last week. I'm going to blame it on Mardi Gras recovery lol! Plus, I spent many hours in the garden this last week getting it cleaned up and planting some of my veggies. I'm so very grateful that I held off on the tomatoes, peppers and eggplants, as we got a freeze on Saturday night. Ugh! I hope that's the last one for the year. I'm ready for Spring!! And flower planting!!
I didn't spend all of my hours in the garden this last week. I actually spent some time in the studio finishing up a couple of mosaic heart wall hangings and getting them posted, along with a handful of mosaic heart necklaces. YES!!! I think I'm finally starting to get it together, but I still wish I were at least 2 people most days to finish up everything I want to get done. I'm pretty happy with my newest Cardinal wall hanging heart, as I love cardinals!! Heck, I love all birds, but the cardinals really capture my heart.
Another thing that happened over the last week is we bought a new couch. Our old couch was a HOT MESS! The frame is still good and it is Victorian style, so I'm not tossing it. I'm going to recover it one of these days. I love the color on our new couch, but it's not the most comfortable couch and the back is really low, so that's going to take me a minute to get used to. But, I'm happy to have it regardless. Oh, and so is Emmie.
I would love to add a big colorful beautiful rug in front of this new beautiful couch, but little miss pee-pot would probably tinkle on it, sooooooo. Look how innocent she looks.
Lastly, we went to the Irish Channel Parade Saturday afternoon and had a BLAST!!! OMG!!! It is so good to have parades back!! They really do feed the soul. I think we caught about a dozen cabbages and a whole bunch of other stuff and Mike caught 15 of his favorite throws, Irish Spring Soap lololololol!!! We did a lot of dancing too!!! Sooooo Much FUN!!!!
Then we came home and covered what I had already planted in the garden, in order to try and protect it from the freeze. Most things looked fine this morning. Phew.
Check out my salad bar. My lettuces and spinach are growing nicely!
Welp, that's it for this week. I hope you're all doing well in these crazy times we're living in.
Until next time, I wish you PEACE.
Peace
&
Plant Flowers
